Webnote note cards can be used in different colors. Notes can be done in isolation or with other contributors. They look like note cards. Post a topic and have comment cards dropped or maybe build bibliography notes?

GoAnimatefree, must register. Offers additional movement that toondo does not. ToonDofree, must register. Toon characters and backgrounds -- can create books with pages that turn. VuVoxfree, need an account. Add pictures and create hot spots over them (gives rollover information/movement) and create links to other sites. Unfortunately students cannon access this page in school at this time.

Wordia Not very developed. Gives many definitions and some have video representation. Develop and upload you own. Have your students create video representation and upload (watch for those parent permissions if you really upload).
Quintura Visual search engine. Put in a key word--get a list of related words. Each that you click on gives you a new list of web pages related in the panel to the right. Helpful for that visual learner. Lets them see what is generated in a search request.
Yoowalk search news as an Avitar (or a butterfly). Free. Account not required but adds interaction with others wandering around (perhaps not a good idea!) and lets you create and decorate your own space (house) on the walk.
